This unit DOES have the desirable air bleed port to assist in releiving any trapped air in the system. This is found on some OEM plastic units (Focus ST for example) but not found on many others. You will need to block this port off after the bleeding process, naturally. You can reuse your plug if your vehicle came with it, or purchase one if need be. See part # MCEN'16944
