Ok, aside from the fact that this tool shouldn’t need to exist, this is perfect for the job. On a side note, MZR engineers must hate technicians.

This tool is ABSOLUTELY necessary if you want to do timing work on the Mazda 2.3 disi engine. It holds the camshafts in their proper position while timing components are changed just like it's supposed to. Just make sure you take it off before torquing your cam gears or you risk breaking the ends of the cams off.

Amazing product. Held my cams in place firmly, allowing me to accurately set my engine's timing. Car runs great! If you're hesitant on this, don't be, it's better than anything else I've tried. The plate is very strong and won't gouge or bend like others on the market.
