Full 3/16" carbon steel construction. This tool is more than just two pieces of metal welded together - we precise CNC laser cut mating paltes and then Mortise and Tenon Thru-weld them for max torsional strength. INCLUDES all new high strength grade 10.9 Zinc and Yellow dichromate hex head cap screws and washers. Picks up all 11 bolt holes for max rigidity and ensures no damage to aluminum blocks, and seals out the motor from dust and dirt (or a random 8mm socket) while in storage. Have not had a chance to lift the motor yet but bolts right up to l83 perfect and don’t see any reason it won’t do exactly what I expect it to

I was extremely impressed with this lift plate for my Gen 5 LT motor. It was packaged very very well. Finish on it is 10/10. Includes all the hardware that you need. Would definitely purchase again from this company. Rarely leave reviews, but this one deserves it.

Exactly what we needed to get the L83 up out of its shipping crate and onto the stand. I wish we could leave the heads on to use (I'd rather pull heads than fuel rails) it but that's a GM issue, not a Massive issue.I really appreciate the instructions that have torque specs for the bolts instead of just leaving it up in the air...and the Ford disclaimer was awesome.I'll definitely be grabbing the LS version of this plate when it comes time to replace the LM7 in my 2002 Silverado. (Yes, I know this one would work, but at $50 why not get the plate that's designed f9r that engine).Update: Well, it's *almost* perfect. Just found out the hard way that if you install the DOD/AFM delete plugs, the plate no longer sits flush on the block so it's back to using the head chain tabs to install the engine. Hopefully they'll make an updated version with a 1/4" riser along the mounting edges to stand the plate away from the DOD delete plugs.
This was just what needed to remove the engine out of my Camaro. Sturdy and built well. The welds look solid and the texture finish is great.

Worked perfectly for my L83 5.3. Didn’t want to risk hoisting from the aluminum heads or block with just a couple bolts. This fit perfectly and very well built!!!!

I haven't bolted the plate up to my Gen-V LT1 engine, but so far I'm impressed. The lift plate comes with eleven JDF 10.9 metric bolts and washers that appear to be zinc plated to prevent rust. These bolts are equivalent to Grade 8. The lift plate is nicely power-coated satin black. Included are written instructions with torque specifications and a touch of humor. When a company takes care of the details, I have good confidence in the product. This is important to me as I probably won't use the lift plate for several months, so I need to know it will work perfectly when it's needed.
