We start our horsepower quest at the beginning. The K&N intake. It features a high flow million mile reusable cone filter coupled with a rotomolded large diameter intake tube that is far less restrictive than the factories twisted path. All stainless clamps, sealed heat shield, powder coated bracketry and silicone couplers are included in this fine quality made in the USA intake kit. This intakes superior breathing will make some nice horsepower and gives off an authoratative growl.
Next, when upgrading the performance of your GTO, you will want to upgrade your ignition wires to a set of JBA PowerCables™. Each set is custom tailored to your specific application so you get a perfect fit every time. JBA’s performance ignition wires feature ultra-low resistance wire-wound mag conductors that allow more spark energy to reach the spark plug without electronic interference. JBA Powercables™ come with 100% silicone jackets for great resistance to high heat as well as abrasion and tears. The high heat boots give plenty of clearance for routing around the headers. The editors at Car Craft made an extra 5 hp on a project engine with a set of 9mm JBA PowerCables™. Installing a set of these wires is easy to do on the GTO and they look great under the hood. Now. The really cool stuff: Your stock exhaust manifolds are terribly restrictive peices, not to mention, UGLY! Starting with the oversized ports and smooth flowing 1.625” (1 5/8”) mandrel-bent tubing, these headers give an unrestricted path for spent gasses leaving the engine. They merge in to JBA’s patented Firecone® high flow collector for improved exhaust scavenging and reduced turbulence. The result is a gain of 30+hp and 34+ lb.ft. of torque at the rear wheels! NO ONE makes a more powerful GTO Header. NO ONE else makes a true 100% bolt on stainless header. Pair this with a free flowing exhaust and your GTO will make wonderful sounds… These headers use 14 gauge steel tubes, larger than any one elses, so your headers will last. A 3/8” laser cut single peice flange ensures no leakage and long life. Stainless means these headers WILL NOT rust out and will perform for you forever. Plus, they are 50 STATE LEGAL, and will not void your factory warranty.

The cattless units offer NO COMPROMISE power that a catted system CAN NOT deliver. Each of these JBA midpipes features smooth flowing mandrel-bent tubing and high quality hardware. This midpipe eliminates the stock convertors so it is considered an OFF ROAD use system. Plese note that the photo in the ad shows the catted version. You will recieve a similiar looking midpipe without the two enlarged areas.

So. You’ve just brought your GTO’s motor to Vette LS6 power specs. Honest gains here in the 50 plus zone. After install, the only decisions you’ll need to make are, “Whos gettin smoked tonight?” Be sure to specify what year or style you’d like: The kit for the 2004 GTO’s comes with a bolt in hanger for the passenger side exhaust.
It’s a simple install and requires the 04-05 rear bumper cover, or trimming of your stock one. Midpipe is a bolt in, meaning you can install you stock catted mid back in for emmissions.
K&N intakes are slightly different, wires and headers are identical. The kit for the 2005-6 GTO’s This is a direct replacement system that bolts to the stock or JBA mid section. Midpipe is a bolt in, meaning you can install you stock catted mid back in for emmissions.
