We use a mortise and tenon style construction, so the lifting blade actually passes through the main plate, and is then welded top side and plug welded on the bottom, offering far increased load capacity and torsional rigidity.
Made from FULL 1/4 high carbon steel for long-lasting performance. Nearly all known competitors use only 3/16" material - too small for this application!

Massive Speed System Store. High Quality lift plate.The lift plate makes connection and lifting an engine so much faster and easier. The plate is pure quality and also includes grade 9 bolts and washers to secure it. The welds on the plate are clean and solid. The universal mounting holes are perfect for multiple manifold configurations for attaching the plate to. I am impressed with the quality of the lift plate and will be using this for years.
The build quality of this product is phenomenal and the color is tight!! The item was packaged nicely and came with instructions and a bumper sticker. This worked great for a project I had been working on and I plan to use it many more times.
The carbureted intake engine lift plate by Massive Speed Auto Tools / Techstar Massive / Massive Speed System is made in the USA. I think a good value for this intake plate lift is about $31.15, which can be found. The lift plate is a two piece 3 gauge high carbon steel (1/4 inch thick) welded together. The keyed parts of the vertical lift blade fits into the main plate mortise and tenon style. The heavy design feels durable and long lasting. The paint is power coated, and other colors are available from EngineLiftPlates. The plate is easy to use and the holes did line up close enough on my Rochester Quadrajet intake. The engine lift plate performs as it should, lifting a large cast iron engine block safely and securely.5 stars
